Congrats to all who got in! How are you going to prepare for the interviews? Are there any difference in interview styles between ISI-K and ISI-D? Will they give us an option among 2 questions - one from econ and one from math?
Quoting someone who cleared the interview:
"In interview, first you will get a question paper containing two questions, one from micro and other from maths and 15 minutes to solve those questions. You only have to do one of those. But still confirm that that from the invigilator. After that they will call you in a room with three professors in a panel.
After some introductory questions, they'll just ask you to solve one of the questions of your choice on the blackboard. You'll have to explain each and every step. They'll interject in between and expand the question a little bit.
It's a rarity that you'll solve the question fully as they are difficult and they don't expect you to solve fully either. They just want to see how you think about a problem. So whatever you are thinking, think it out loud. Communicate to them clearly how you think a solution can be obtained even if you are not sure of the answer.
Interview will be of 15 minutes duration.
For micro, prepare consumer theory and general equilibrium well. I'll suggest you to go through microeconomics by mascollel and green.
For maths, the questions are way difficult than what is tought in undergraduate level. So unless you are from engineering or are exceptional in mathematics. I doubt that you'll spoke the question given to you. Question will usually be from functions, optimizations or real analysis."
