hello guys..lets us discuss our opinions regarding DSE exam tomorrow.....share ur views so that everyone of us gets benefitted in exam...
"how much r u going to attempt in this exam?what should be d perfect score u would be aiming?
or any serious advices..........!!
As for me sunny, I won't attempt any question unless I have a really good hunch and/or know the answer for sure. Because the negative marking has been dragging my score way below what it could have been. Also I'll be attempting those questions that I know before others, rather than going in order. Because I get stuck in one and waste my time in that without realising it.
What about you?
one of my seniors said me d following
"dont think of attempting d questions which u dont know or r clueless about.any guessing work will make ur score go much down in the exam, and that why what u r saying,is completely right.
i m thinking of attempting d questions in which i have good comfort level.
any idea..how many students r sitting in this exam?
the roll numbers r as high as from 0001 to 5000...that took away my breath!!!!
it depends upon the number of students scoring 40 plus in exam and also on d difficulty level of paper.
if d paper is tough, then not many score 40,n hence they keep cutoff at 40.
but if d paper is relatively average, then they increase the cutoff,so that at the end, they can finally take 120 odd students in their m.a program.
but believe me,it wont go higher than 50.
so cut off lies in d range 40-50(purely my guess)
Ritu relax. You have been (implicitly) preparing for this exam for the last 3-4 years of your life! You will do well. All the best to everyone!!! Chinni your strategy sounds sensible - will do the same
i want to thank all of u yar....
we all were ,i mean competitors....but thanx to amit sir....we have been together on this site for a year helping each other out.....
salute to this sweet bond we all share.....thanx guys:))
Oh and this is a silly addition to the strategy thread, but everybody please read the question carefully because I always miss out reading the word incorrect, when they ask which of the following is incorrect. Wastes a lot of time. I am sure no one is this careless, but it's something I frequently do
thank u so much 4 confirming the number....i was so scared thinking of 5000....still 2500 is a large number way head of any other m.a exam in economics.... @chinni,ram,aditi n ritu...........
best wishes 4 the exam.even i m getting slightly nervous..n not wanting to open the book...lets give our best tomorrow
